El Warcha 2016

Le premier Warcha a été développé pendant trois mois dans la médina de Tunis dans le cadre des résidences artistiques de l'association l’Art Rue. Son but était de tester des outils de design collaboratif et de réaliser du mobilier urbain pour l'espace public avec la participation des jeunes du quartier. Suite à la réussite de cette première expérience les fondateurs du projet Benjamin Perrot et Taha Balti ont décider de continuer l’aventure et d’ouvrir un atelier permanent dans le quartier de la Hafsia.

The first Warcha was a collaborative design workshop situated in the heart of the medina of Tunis. It was developed as part of the art residencies of l'Art Rue, a contemporary art organisation that aims to promote participative art forms in the public realms. The idea of the workshop is to develop collaborative design methods  through the design of public realm furnitures. Following the success of this residency the initiators of the project Benjamin Perrot and Taha Balti decided to open a permanent space in Hafsia.
